Keith called in LP Kitchens to renovate his sons kitchen in a small terrace house in Swinton, Manchester. The old kitchen was quite dark, old and had seen better days and was in desperate need of a face lift. The kitchen itself is quite small, just over 2 meters wide and 3 meters long, but with a door opening into it. There was a few problems to deal with, there was boiler that was installed right in the middle of the right hand wall, we had to make space for a washer and tall fridge while managing to handle the pipe work for the sink waste.
Keith & son chose “Cream Hi Gloss Lusso doors” with “walnut block worktop”.
We decided to change things around from the original kitchen and swap the washer and fridge to the opposite sides of the room, this with create more light coming in from the offset window. We built a bespoke unit to house the boiler and gave as much cupboard space possible for the galley style kitchen. The kitchen came with soft closing hinges and drawers as standard and included a 150mm pullout rack and pan drawers. On the left we fitted a Franke Ascona sink into the worktop and solved the drainage problem by putting the waste as low as possible to avoid causing problems with the fridge.
Keith & son were delighted with the installation and recently sent updated pictures with the tiling and decorating complete.
